On the morning of June 10, 1979 the Andorinha Corvette encountered two French ships off Milfontes.
The Andorinha approached the pirate ships and opened fire shortly after flying the Portuguese flag.
As it was faster, she placed herself between the two french ships and made fire from both broadsides. Seized Santa Catalina. Then began a persecution of Oiseau, and also took her.
