On October 19th, the Imperieuse, 38, Captain the Hon. Henry Duncan, and Thames, 32, Captain Charles Napier, anchored near Point Palinuro, in Campania, and sent in boats, under Lieutenant Eaton Stannard Travers. These brought off without casualty ten armed polaccas, laden with oil, in spite of the fact that the craft had been banked up with sand, and were in charge of a body of Neapolitan troops
