1665, Bristol, March 10 - Captain Osgood, commander of the Fox frigate, having convoys home the merchants from Lisbon, which are all safely arrived, gives this account of his voyage. That he took a ship of 200 tons from under the command of Gaylands Castle of Arzilla, after eight hours dispute with the Castle, in which he killed about 50 Moors in the town, and as many more in the Brigantines, that endeavoured, by issuing out, to retake the ship, with the loss of only one man, and another wounded, the ship he brought into Tangier. In Santa Cruz Bay, he met with a Dutch Caper of 26 guns and 150 men, with whom he exchanged several broadsides, but the Dutchman receiving two shot under water, with the loss of some few men, ran away.
