From HMS Carysfort, he took command of HMS L'Aigle, 5th/38,(ex-French, taken prize and commissioned 26 Oct 1782) at New York where he died 13 Dec 1782. His will [actually two letters] were proven at the PCC on 13 June 1783 with his brother Pryce Peacock residuary Legatee.
