He was also offered a Knighthood by the Queen of England for his actions in the battle at Doggers Bank

Capt. George Robertson was my 4th Great grandfather. Did you know he married Ann Lewis the daughter of Francis Lewis who signed the Declaration Of Independence. Their daughter Marianne married John Bird Sumner the Archbishop of Canterbury. Any information i can find is greatly appreciated, I'm still trying to confirm his birthdate and the correct William Robertson who was his father. thanks again....Bill Beason
