Do not understand. Teer was not commissioned to Pluto until 1781 not 1771.

George Teer was in command of the unrated storeship HMS Florida in 1771 engaged in the re-occupation of West Falkland Island during the 1st Falkland Crisis of 1770-71.
He could not have been aboard HMS Pluto until very late in 1771 or early 1772 as the 3 ships of the RN Flotila did not arrive at West Flakland until mid September 1771
