Francis Tinsley, Commander, Hired Armed Ship 'BELLONA' 20gun (6pdrs) from Oct 1779 to either April or Dec 1780, when it foundered and was abandoned as wreck in River Texel. Convoy Escort duty from Hull to Heligoland. Source: various Historical documents relating to Stockton-on-Tees, where the ship was launched 8/12/1779.
