5.6.1689 Captain John Tosier, the Charlotte yacht, Deptford. He is unable to complete his books and accounts from the Sapphire, as Thomas Butler, Purser, has taken all his books and journals when he joined Captain Bokenham in the Happy Return. Asks the Board not to pay him unless he sends them back or to leaves them with Mr. Lydall. The Purser is one of the people, who would cut his throat, he was forced into his cabin, with sentinels to guard him and then hurried onto the Dragon, unable to take any of his belongings with him. Asks for his wages to be paid as he is suffering hardship.ADM 106
