We hear that --- Bucknall, Esq, builder of his Majesty’s dock-yard Portsmouth, intends soon to quit that office, in which he has distinguished himself for his extraordinary abilities for many years, and now generously disdains to accept of the annual superannuation money, tho’ no less than £200 per annum. [Hampshire Chronicle, 5 October 1772]
