Edmund Nagle Rice was a midshipman aboard HMS Topaze (32) Capt Stephen Church from Dec 1799, Topaze sailed to the West Indies in early 1801. Rice & Church died of Yellow Fever at Port Royal. In the Yale University's center of british art, YCBA, is the handbook for study to become a lieutenant in the RN owned by Ed Rice, it is in excellent condition are runs to over 500 pages, search it up on g o o o g l e under Edmund Nagle Rice YCBA.
