The following, it is said, were passengers in the Mercury packet, Captain Dillon, taken by three Rebel privateers, and carried into Philadelphia; Captain Campbell, of th 44th regiment, Honourable Captain Bennet Wallop, of the German corps. Captain Lyman, of General Browne’s regiment. Captain Murray, of Governor Wentworth’s. A Captain of a letter of marque vessel. A Mrs Griffiths and another lady, who arrived in this city [New York] last Monday, All the gentlemen are sent to Lancaster. [Exeter Flying Post, 27 October 1780]
