Dear Sirs and Madams, Thank you for your page and its very enlightening contents. I wonder if you happen to know what post-captain William John Napier did between 1814 and 1823, and particularly in 1818. I am looking for the master or captain of the frigate HMS Diamond in 1818, when it served in the West Indies and crossed from Havana to Cádiz between May and June 1818.
I gather that Napier commanded the Diamond between 1823 and 1827, and I have not been able to find who commanded it in 1818. Thanks a lot for your attention and for your very informative page. With best wishes, Sergio.
