3.4.1697 George Cooper, the Coventry at the Downes. He was formerly Chief Mate of the Canterbury and has taken over as Master of the Coventry, since the former Master, James Bourne, was removed, when he lost his sight and went into the Yarmouth. He asks for a warrant to continue in the post, which he has occupied since October last. He had hoped to ask in person, as he had been told the ship was to go to London.ADM 106
