Have been researching my wife's ancestor's brother Lt. Charles Cobbe RN (1779-1794 now from you 1811) for sometime with all ships logs and pay rolls to Ville de Paris at Kew. IN fact got his birth place, hence birth/baptism records from Colossus paperwork at Kew. He was only 10 years when he became Captain's Servant for a year then a year off. You can see my researches on www.godolphins.org.uk and www.17thwelsh.org.uk or via my link site www.grifd.com. I owe thanks to a member of the Chatham Dockyard Historical Society for putting me in touch with your site. Thanks.
