This gentleman is my 7th Great Grandfather.

Andrew Jelfe is listed in the Commissioned Sea Officers List 1660-1815 as
Lt 25 Aug 1735,
Commander 3 Feb 1744
Captain 14 April 1746.   
He died 14 March 1765.                                                       Ships                           
Tiger (1738),
Lenox 1739,
Victory (1741),
Swallow (1744),
Portmahon (1746),
Assurance (1748)
Trident (1757).
He has a brief entry inthe Biographica Navalis Vol 5 by John Charnock.
