4 Oct 1793 Thames 32 captain James Cotes en route for Gibraltar attacked by Uranie40 captain Jean-François Tartu [killed] and Thames 32 severely damaged.
5 Oct 1793 Thames 32 taken by Carmagnole 38 under Zacharie Allemand and 2 other French frigates and a brig added to French fleet as Themis
