The family de Guise is noble and was a pretender to the throne of France against the royal family

You are directly descended from a ship? Surely not.

Maybe you should elaborate.

Posted by Donald Henry Guise on Monday 23rd of October 2017 21:52

Direct descendent. Family sir name Americanize, dropping the de and shortened to Guise. Settled in Ohio Valley, moved to Miami during the Depression. I live in NC. Served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and my son attended the U.S. Naval Academy. A long list of naval history.

THe nominal number of guns when built in 1619/20 was 58. THe count of 48 is from a list of 1642. They are both correct.

The number of guns is 48 instead of 58.
