London, 25 February 1802: Yesterday a Court of Directors of the East India Company was held at the India House, when the following Commanders attended and took their final leave of the Court previously to their being dispatched for the Presidencies of Madras and Bengal, viz, Captain Robert Spottiswood, of the ship Lord Nelson; and Captain Adam Cumine, of the ship Bengal. The above ships, with the Walthamstow and the United Kingdom, are expected to be dispatched next week, being the last ships of this season to sail for Coast and Bay. Portsmouth, 13 June 1801: On Wednesday the Purser of the Lord Nelson announced the arrival of the following China ships off this port, under the convoy of the Argo, of 44 guns, Capt Bowen: - the Cirencester, Ceres, Brunswick, Arniston, Walthamstow, Earl St Vincent, Marquis Wellesley, Canton, Lord Nelson, Carron (extra ship), Triumphoze (Portuguese). They left China 16th January, arrived at St Helena 15th April, sailed from thence 22d April. The whole of the convoy are arrived at Deal. [Hampshire Telegraph, 15 June 1801]
