SIR, Swallow, Mount's Bay, Nov. 16, 1807.

I have to acquaint you that yesterday, the Lizard bearing North 7 or 8 leagues, His Majesty's Sloop under my command fell in with and captured the French Schooner Privateer Friedland, of 2 Guns (which were thrown over-board in the chace) and 41 men ; she sailed from Morlaix the day before, and had made no captures.
