London, 11 May 1751: Yesterday the Pursers of the Boscawen, Capt Braund, from Bombay, and the Fort St George, Capt Booky, were arrived at Bombay, and the Ilchester, Capt Tedd, at Persia. The Britannia, Capt Summer, is gone to Bengal; the Walpole, Capt Fee, lost her passage to India, and was returned to Bengal; Capt Low, who went out commander, is dead. The Warren, Capt Glover, is gone to Bengal; the Swallow, Capt Bell, was to be dispatched from Fort St David’s, the middle of January; and the Kent, Capt Robson, the London, Capt Sedgwick, and the Benjamin, Capt Meard, were to sail from Bengal in December.
