Portsmouth, 2 January 1802: This day se’nnight an officer belonging to the Star, Bombay cruiser, reached the India House, to announce the arrival of that vessel in the Downs, from Amboyna; she sailed from St Helena on t he 2d November, at which period there was not a vessel there, but the Countess of Sutherland was daily expected from the Cape of Good Hope. [Hampshire Telegraph, 4 January 1802]
