London, 16 January 1752: Yesterday Capt Hutchinson, of the Godolphin, bound for Coast and Bay, took his leave of he Court of Directors of the India Company, in order to proceed on his voyage. [Kentish Post, 18 January 1752]

London, 31 October 1751:Capt Hutchinson is appointed Captain of the Goldolphin Indiaman, bound for Coast and Bay, in the room of Capt John Stevens, resigned. Also Captain Dockmingue is appointed to be the Captain of the Delawar, in the room of Capt William Stevens who has resigned, being bound for Madegascar and Fort St George. [Kentish Post, 2 November 1751]

London, 13 June 1751: Yesterday the following ships were taken up into the service of the India Company, viz, a new ship in the room of the Houghton; a new ship, Capt Peck; the Colchester, Capt Roger Manwaring; the Oxford, Capt Robert Stevens; the Exeter, Capt William Firnele; a new ship, Capt Benjamin Fisher; the Bombay Castle; the Godolphin, Capt John Stevens; the Dorrington, Capt Drake; the Admiral Vernon, Capt Edmund Cooks; the Dodington, Capt Norton Hutchinson; the Chesterfield, Capt Edwin Carter; the Pelham, Capt George Linsey; and the Rhoda, Capt John McNamara. [Kentish Post, 15 June 1751]
