Deal, November 25 , 1745

This Afternoon arrived here his Majesty' Ship Sheerness, Captain Bully, and brought in a French Privateer called the Soleil, which he took on the 22d off the Dogger Bank.  She came from Dunkirk the 21st, and was bound to Montrose in Scotland, and has on board Mr Ratcliff (who stiles himself Earl of Derwentwater) with 20 Colonels, Captains, &c Irish, Scotch and French, besides 60 other men.
