Former Merchantman Merchant Frigate hired in November 1649 and then purchased by the Navy

That this House doth approve of the Buying of The Merchant Frigate, now called The Amity, for the Service of the State.



Captain Michael Packe died of wounds suffered at the Battle of Plymouth, he was succeeded in command by his brother Henry.
