The ships Carnatic and Taunton Castle, had arrived safe at Bombay the latter end of August. [Hampshire Telegraph, 11 November 1799]

London, 26 February 1801: Yesterday a Court of Directors was held at East India House, when the following commanders took leave, previous to departing for their respective destinations, viz, Capt Jos Boulderson, of the Fort William, and Captain S Wood, of the Worcester, for Bombay; Capt Martin of the Woodford; Capt Pierce of the Taunton Castle; Capt Timbrill, of the Albion; Capt Burrowes, of the Earl Howe; and Capt Wall, of the Duke of Buccleugh, for China.
