History: a smuggling vessel (20 tons, 7 men, 2 passengers), bound from Boulogne to England, laden with brandy and tea; taken, after desertion by the crew, on 30 April/11 May 1746 in the middle of the Channel by the privateer York (James Gravener commanding), and brought into Dover.
