Built 1810 Adam & Noah Brown, New York

Sharp built, American merchantman Colt, registered 10.05.1810 at NY to Le Roy, Bayard , and McEvers, merchants of New York, purchased in April 1813, armed with guns taken from the Portuguese armed merchant frigate Fama which was seized by the Chilean government at Valparaiso, on 02.05.1813 sent with the frigate Perla against Peruvian realist privateer Warren, which blockaded Valparaiso, neverthless 25 Americans, the crew mutined and she was seized by the Warren and Perla, which had been persuaded by the Spanish merchants of Valparaiso; taken to to Callao, recaptured by the Chilean frigate O'Higgins under Lord Cochrane at Valdivia on 18.01.1820. As captured she was worth 14,000 pesos. Sold mercantile 1826.
