Sheerness, 21 October 1801: A Court Martial has been held on the Braak for having negligently run her on shore, in coming to the Nore from Deptford, on the 2d inst, when the charge being proved, he was dismissed the service as a pilot, and mulcted of all his pay. [London Courier, 23 October 1801]

Sheerness, 11 October 1801: Orders have been received this morning for the different vessels mentioned, to prepare immediately for paying off, viz, the Magicienne, Braak, Daphne, Waazamield, Hebe, and La Raison frigates; Alceste and Serapis, floating batteries; Experiment, fire vessel, and Hecla, bomb; and Boreas, slop ship; with the Crash, Swinger, Wrangler, Pincher, Scourge, Sparkler, Furnace, Force, Teazer, Gallant, and Constant.
