At Gulf of Guinea with 75 slaves on board.

The snow is attacked by surprise by a group of Portuguese natives who kill John Cutler and two crew members. They loot the ship and take the crew and cargo (including slaves) inland. Three crewmen manage to escape, making contact with Captain Wickham and others who form a rescue party.
After negotiations, they recover the crew and 34 of the slaves.
