Captain Charles Stirling, commander of his Majesty’s ship Jason, has captured Le Coureur, a French corvette belonging to the Government of France, and commanded by officers of the navy, but lent the merchants for a privateer. She mounts twenty-four gunsand one hundred and fifty men. [Hampshire Chronicle, 3 March 1798]
