Of course armament changes over time, and I did note the differences in 1673 and 1683. However, I did not expect (not my area of expertise) such a large change: 66 to 78. But I now see the change listed under "Service History", and amazingly enough, large portions of "Dutch Warships in the Age of Sail" can be viewed on Google Books, including the relevant page for Westfriesland (p.265). Thanks again for the information!

The nominal guns is correct for the time of building. Armament changes over time, so both are correct, as is the 1683 count, which is different again.
The cross reference to Solebay shows the nominal gun count at the time of the battle, note the 1667 refit.
I will not be making any amendments.

Very useful website. I wonder if the "nominal guns" value should be higher. It is currently 66. The cross reference from the Battle of Solebay (show_battle id=50) lists the ship as 78-guns, which matches your 1673 armament listing. Feel free to delete this comment after you confirm the number one way or the other. Thanks for the information.
